We are very excited to announce the 2018-2019 performance series at the historic Columbian Theatre. This year's lineup includes shows such as Mame, Judy Garland Songbook, Shrek, the musical, Wedding Murder Mystery, and Hoo Haw.

Hoo Haw

August 10-12, 17-19

Excellent live music and performers. Mediocre comedy. Veteran actor and director Troy Hemphill leads the annual favorite with new skits, songs, and jokes. This familiar, fun-loving cast always packs the house! Sponsored by WTC.





The Judy Garland Songbook

October 5-6

The Judy Garland Songbook October 5-6 An enchanting evening that will transport the audience through the life and career of Judy Garland. A live band onstage will perform the standout songs that made Judy a household name. "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" "Come on Get Happy" "Zing! Went the Strings of my Heart" performed by Mandy Kerridge.



The Gatsby Gala with Music by Grand Marquis

October 20

Ladies and gents, this Gatsby evening will take you back to the elegant and timeless 1920s. A speakeasy, classical, yet dazzling style event will feature appetizers, drinks, and the band Grand Marquis. Come one, come all and come celebrate this 2nd annual Gatsby evening in the Peddiсord Playhouse.






The Columbian Christmas Extravaganza

December 7-9, 14-16

The Christmas Extravaganza presents Christmas music standards and invigorating new tunes in variety show fashion with our best Columbian performers. Back by popular demand, this Christmas Concert will get you in the holiday spirit with classic Christmas music everyone knows and loves. Get out of the cold and warm your soul.







Dueling Pianos

January 18-19


Our 5th annual Dueling Pianos Concert featuring classics, dance music, country, jazz standards, and current hits. We mix it up so that the 20 some-things, parents, and grandparents are a part of the party. We invite all the guests to surround the pianos, singing together to the big songs." You know them: "Don't Stop Believin'," "Piano Man," "Hey Jude," and "Lean On Me." It's a magical moment for everyone and a perfect ending to a special event.







February 22-24, March 1-3, 8-10

"Life is a banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death!" That's the motto of Mame Dennis, one of musical theatre's all-time greatest heros in this hilarious and touching adaptation of Patrick Dennis' bestseller, Auntie Mame. This celebrated score includes the rousing title number plus "Open a New Window," We Need a Little Christmas," and "Bosom Buddies." With spirit and class, "Mame" is sure to thrill audiences for generations to come!






Grand Celtic Music Tour

March 16

The 5th annual Grand Celtic Music Tour featuring an evening of Celtic culture that is always a sell-out. Experience Celtic music and cultural exhibits in the Swogger Gallery, including arts and crafts, food, and musical instruments. Sample specialty whiskies and enjoy an evening of bagpipes, accordions, and more!






The Everly Brothers

April 6

The Everly Brothers Experience Featuring the Zmed Brothers April 6 From 1957 to 1962, The Everly Brothers sold more than 35 million records and had 35 billboard top-100 singles, and still to this day, carry the record for most billboard charting hits of any American duo. Their success at that time was only rivaled by Elvis. The Bird Dogs and The Zmed Brothers are absolutely thrilled to be able to contribute to a cause that supports the recognition and preservation of the intimate origins of America's greatest Rock n' Roll singing sibling duo.




Wedding Murder Mystery

April 25-27, May 2-4

A beautiful bride, a nervous groom, and an unhinged mother in law! Our audience is in for a delightful evening of comedy, romance, murder and a catered dinner as they reveal the identity of the wedding night killer. This show will be a thriller!







May 31-June 2, 7-9, 14-16


The tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude, over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand... and his name is Shrek.

Providing fun for the whole family, Shrek proves that beauty is truly in the eye of the ogre.
