The Columbian Theatre presents A Tribute to Carol Burnett & Friends. To honor Carol Burnett, a trailblazer for women and entertainers in the TV industry. Some of your favorite skits and songs will be recreated to bring out the humor, music, and great dialog found in many of Carol's shows throughout the years. Let’s share this time together the first two weeks in April, the 1-3 and 8-10. Tickets are $25 for GA and $20 for student and military.

The Carol Burnett Show is an American variety/sketch comedy television show that originally ran on CBS from September 11, 1967 to March 29, 1978, for 279 episodes, and again with nine episodes in fall 1991. It starred Carol Burnett, Harvey Korman, Vicki Lawrence, Lyle Waggoner, and featured guest star Tim Conway. The series originated in CBS Television City's Studio 33, and won 25 primetime Emmy Awards.

The spin off, Mama’s Family, continued to run for another seven years after the Carol Burnett Show ended and it carried on the comedy and kept these popular characters in front of TV audiences into the 90s. The other spin-off, The Carol Burnett & Company was a mini series brought back in 1979 to highlight some old cast members from the original show and only included four episodes.

In 2013, TV Guide ranked The Carol Burnett Show number 17 on its list of the 60 Greatest Shows of All Time, and in 2007 it was included on the list of Time's 100 Best TV Shows of All Time. After the original run ended, material from 1972 to 1977 it was repackaged as a half-hour series known as Carol Burnett and Friends, which has aired in various syndicated outlets continuously since the original series ended.
